... a weekly letter of encouragement.
27 May,1998 - Singapore
Good Morning!
WANT TO HAVE PEACE AND LIBERTY IN YOUR LIFE`? THEN CONSIDER THIS+
:#l. Strive to do another's will rather than our own.
"Whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first must be slave of alb For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many. " (Mark 10:43b-43)
#2. Choose alwavs to have less than more.
"But godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of iT. But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with that. People who want to get rich fall in to temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge men into ruin and destruction. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil ,Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs. " {I Timothy 6:6-10)
#3. Seek the lower places in life, dvino to the need to be recognized and important.
`:..Do not be snobbish, high-minded, (or) exclusive..but give yourselves to humble tasks. Never overestimate yourself or be wise in your own conceits....Everything (the Pharisees) do is done for men to se.. They love the place of honor at banguets and the most important seats in the synagogues; they love to be greeted in the marketplaces and to have men call them 'Rabbi. "` (Romans 12:16 Amplified; Matthew 23:5a-7)
#4. Alwavs and in evervthing desire that the will of God may be comuletely fulfilled in
Christ: `:.. Fell with His face to the ground and prayed, `My Father, if it is possible, may this cup (the cross) be taken from Me. Yet not as 1 will, but as you will "' (Mt.26:39b)
Paul: "However, I consider my life worth nothing to me, if only I may finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me.." (Acts 20:24a)
My prayer is that you are having a great week!
