Good Morning!
CONTENTMENT:
"Accepting the role God has assigned me to play
in His sovereign scheme of things."
"Doing the best I can with what I have - and
leaving the results with God."
"Godliness with CONTENTMENT is great gain." (I Timothy
6:6)
As a Nation, Israel was DISCONTENT with Her God-given
lot. So She grumbled:
- Forgot God's works
- Rejected His counsel
- Despised the "pleasant land"
- Did not believe His word (Psalm 106:13, 14, 24, 25)
Her seemingly innocuous attitude of DISCONTENTMENT
led to:
IDOLATRY - "They made a calf...and
worshipped a molten image."
SECULARISM - "They forgot God."

MURDER - "They even sacrificed their sons and daughters to the demons."
(Psalm 106:19-21, 37,38)
So...How are you doing in the CONTENTMENT department?
- Thanking God... or grumbling?
At the root of DISCONTENTMENT lies a spirit of rebellion
against God's sovereignty. In the case of Israel it led to IDOLATRY,
SECULARISM and eventually to the MURDER of her children.
