Presenting ...
... a weekly letter of encouragement.
June 28 1993
Good Morning!
To whom are you looking to meet your needs?
God and His unlimited resources? Or
Yourself and your paltry resources?
Jesus toyed with the twelve disciples in teaching them to look to Him as their resource:
JESUS: "You give them (the masses) something to eat."
DISCIPLES: "We have no more than 5 loaves and 2 fish."
Christ then proceeded to feed the 5000 (along with a surplus). (Luke 9:12 - 17)
The reason the twelve were paralyzed in meeting the needs of a hungry mass of people was because they were looking to the wrong source for the solution: THEMSELVES.
The need was overwhelming. The disciples' resources were meager. And the result was immobilization. HUMAN RESOURCES WERE LIMITED THEN AND THEY ARE LIMITED TODAY!
So...To whom are you looking to meet your needs:
CHRIST with His unlimited assets? Or to YOURSELF with finite means?
The acid test as to whom you are trusting to meet your needs lies in the condition of your heart. As you anticipate today and this week, do you have inner peace - or anxiety?
"Let your character or moral disposition be free from love of money [including greed, avarice, lust and craving for earthly possessions] and be satisfied with your present (circumstances and with what you have); for He [God] Himself has said, I will not in any way fail you nor give you up nor leave you without support. [I will] not, [I will] not, [I will] not in any degree leave you helpless nor forsake nor let (you) down (relax My hold on you)! [Assuredly not!] ( Hebrews 13:5 Amplified)
He is your resource. The question is, do you believe it? Inner peace is the test.
Have a great week!
