Good Morning!
THE MARINES ARE LOOKING FOR A FEW GOOD MEN - AND
SO IS GOD:
"...I searched for a man among them who
should build up the wall and stand in the gap before me for the
land, that I should not destroy it; but I found no one."
(Ezekiel 22:30)
Imagine: Almighty God unable to find
one man to "stand in the gap."
Good men have always been in short supply: "Many
a man proclaims his own loyalty, but who can find a trustworthy
man? (Proverbs 22:6)
However, scattered through history A FEW GOOD MEN
have emerged to make the difference for God:
King David for example, attracted A FEW GOOD MEN that
grew into an armed force for God in rebuilding the Nation Israel:
"For day by day men came to David to help him, until there
was a great army like the army of God." These GOOD
MEN were:
PREPARED - "Equipped
for war."
COURAGEOUS -
"Mighty men of valor."
WISE - "Men who understood the times, with
knowledge of what
Israel should do."
SINGLE-MINDED -
"An undivided heart."
DIVERSIFIED -
"With all kinds of weapons of war for the battle."
WARRIORS - "A
heart for the battle." (I Chron.12:23-38)
GOD IS STILL LOOKING FOR A FEW GOOD MEN to "stand
in the gap".
