March 29 was a significant day for our four churches when all joined together for a one-day Bible study convention. We studied Philippians, with each minister of the four churches leading one chapter's study. It was a wonderful day.
God is also working in each church individually. Ming Chi Church has a vision for cell groups to be established on every street in the Tai Shan neighborhood. Starting in July, a group from the church began a period of fasting and prayer walking through Tai Shan as they prayed for the people. During a 40-day period, each participant chose certain meals they would fast. The result was that during those 40 days at least one person was fasting and praying every meal for outreach into Tai Shan.
There are three cell groups in Shin-Kwang Church. They are averaging 25 people in their Sunday services, and their goal is 40 by the end of 1996. Please pray for church growth at Shin-Kwang.
A new pastor has come to Fu-Hsin Church, Fang-Jeng Lwo, who will assume full responsibilities when Thomas Loh retires at the end of 1996. Fu-Hsin Church has been emphasizing outreach to children. With this concern, they held a summer Bible camp for children, August 11-14. Please pray that seeds planted at this camp will be harvested.
Fu-Hsin Church is also launching a cell group ministry. Please pray for the cell group leadership training to take place that will be the foundation for this new ministry.
Chia-Mei Church ordained three couples as cell group leaders on March 10. Additionally, eight people took the cell leader intern training from July 8 to August 26. Please pray that the Holy Spirit will call two or three persons from among the cell leaders who will be able to serve as supervisors over the cell groups and receive proper training for this.
The Holy Spirit is going his almighty works among us! He is giving us words, visions, prophecies, healing, tongues, and the great love of Jesus Christ. All cell groups in the four churches are reaching out to unbelievers, family members, and friends, and we are expecting a great harvest! Hallelujah! Praise the Lord!
