These two years the Lord has truly done marvellous works even in memento of doubts and apprehension. He is always there proving Himself faithful again and again .
First, we see the growth of the 'HIM' (Hearing impaired Ministry) .The Lord has established an Outreach point in Alor Star, a city about 70 km north of Penang. In His rich providence He provided us a Meeting piece in the home of Bro. Lee Peng Chiat and his wife, Peh Lan. A hearing couple, Ch'ng Yeang Soon and his wife Meow Mee, are also a great help and encouragement to the ministry. These 2 couples have been doing the pastoring work as well as providing refreshment after the meeting and transporting some of the deaf home after the meeting. The Lord also opened the door for us to minister in Yala, South Thailand. To date we have 26 conversions among the Thai deaf. We now have deaf persons coming as far as Surat Thani, Hatyai and Bangkok ( a day's journey to reach Yala). It seems that the Lord is making the HIM Ministry known to other parts of Thailand, We have a Dutch missionary in Yala who is so touched by the HIM Ministry that she is learning the sign language. She hopes to go to Bangkok to improve her sign language so that she can 'pastor' and help them.
We also saw 11 baptism during these two years, the youngest, David Lim son of Elder and Mrs Lim Kah Hooi is only 8 years old. This is his testimony....'l first heard about Jesus Christ from my parents. I became a Christian when I was six years old.'
Another baptismal testimony from a Deaf named Michael who came to know the Lord when there was a 'black-out' in Penang. In the darkness he was touched by the Lord and he started to worship and accepted the Lord Jesus as his personal Saviour, Today he is actively involved in the HIM Mission to Alor Star and Yala.
