HSI Big Inch® Stepper & Synchronous motors
Big Inch motors incorporate a motor and gearhead into a 1.0625" diameter package (1.25" length). Available with step increments from 0.09° to 60° and torques from 0.02 oz-in to 25 oz-in. The combination of small size, power, precision and durability are the reason a wide variety of manufacturers use Big Inch motors in applications such as computer peripherals, automotive controls, medical instruments, business machines, clocks, recorders and timers.
Single Phase Unidirectional motors are available with 12 or 24 volt coil windings and can be operated up to 160 pps. The bipolar version (33400 series) has a power input of 2 watts. The unipolar version (31000 series) has a power input of 1.5 watts.

Two-wire unidirectional motor (A31300 series) for use with battery or other limited power supply systems. Rotor turns 180° with power on, then another 180° with power off. Step rate to 120 pps, 15 millisecond minimum pulse. Power input 2 watts.

Synchronous motors are available with 20 or 115 volt coil windings. The capacitor start and run motor (33600 series) is bi-directional and has a power input of 2 watts. The shaded pole version (33000 series) is unidirectional and has a power input of 1 watt.
